Why Bagel Sphere?

Flavor Development: We accomplish our distinct flavor by time and fermentation, not flavor additives. All of our bagels are made from scratch.

Commitment: Bagel Sphere is committed to a very traditional process of bagel making. This artistic, labor intensive process is in part what gives our bagel a crusty exterior and chewy interior. Our bagels are baked fresh daily.

Healthy: We use no oil or preservatives. Our bagels are made with the highest quality ingredients: High-protein flour, brown cane-sugar, sea salt, and fresh yeast. Each 4.25 oz. bagel averages 290 calories, 60 grams of carbohydrates, 11 grams of protein and less than 1 gram of fat.

Local: Downtown Bagel Sphere was established by Jim and Tamara Underwood in 1995 in Eugene and is locally owned and operated. We make everything from scratch in our Springfield bakery.

Who We Are

Bagel Sphere is 100% locally owned and operated by Jim and Tamara Underwood. We opened our first bagel bakery in 1995 in downtown Eugene and then expanded to Springfield and opened Novella Cafe in the Eugene Public Library. While our main goal is to make a bagel that we are very proud of, we also feel it is our responsibility to be integral members of our community. We regularly donate our bagels to charitable organizations and schools within the Eugene/Springfield area.
